State approved textbooks for kindergarten through 12th grade are provided to the library through an agreement with the Region III Education Service Center.
These textbooks are located in the Media Center at the VC/UHV Library on the second floor. They are designated in our ONLINE CATALOG as the Curriculum Collection. Here is a link to the latest textbook adoption list by subject.
Items from the Curriculum Collection may be checked out for 2 weeks with no renewals.
How do I find a curriculum book in the library collection?
- In the Catalog search box on the library's homepage, type your subject and the word textbooks (mathematics textbooks). Click Go.
- Limit your search using the Limits and Sorts drop down menu to VC/UHV Media Library. Click Go.
- To see what types of materials are available and the grade level, choose a title from the results list. One title may have many items listed such as textbook, teacher's edition, big book, cd-rom program, etc.

The Curriculum Collection is organized by the Library of Congress Classification System. This groups textbooks in their subject areas. A quick guide to the subject areas covered by the Curriculum Collection textbooks with corresponding call numbers is available here.
How do I get curriculum materials in Cinco Ranch or Sugar Land?
- Find the items and grade levels you need in the online catalog.
- Fill out the information on the Curriculum Interlibrary Loan form and submit it.
- Library materials will be sent to the library at your campus for pickup. Items should be returned at the same location.
How do I find manipulatives and other teaching materials?
- In the Catalog search box on the library's homepage, type in your subject and the terms audio visual aids(mathematics audiovisual aids).
- Limit your search using the Limits and Sorts drop down menu to VC/UHV Media Library. Click Go.
- The results list should have some type of description (kit, game, model). Click on the title for a full list of items and what they are.
